The Committee members scrutinized the Bill "On Amendments to the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Infringements" (re Enhancement of Responsibility for the Burn-Off of Vegetation or its Remains) (Reg. No. 5170).
The Bill raises the rate of penalties for the burn-off of stubble remains and leaves and damage to the fertile layer of soil.
The Committee members also discussed the Bill "On Amendments to the Criminal Code of Ukraine" (re Enhancement of Responsibility for the Burn-Off of Vegetation or its Remains) (Reg. No. 5171).
The Bill increases the rates of fine for damaging or burning of woodlands, trees and shrubs, land plots with other vegetation, stubble remains, dry wild plants, vegetation or its remains on the agricultural land plots of more than 1 ha square within and beyond the settlements.
The Committee members believe that adoption of the Bill will promote efficient use and protection of land resources.
